A new high-rise tower is coming to Toronto’s Garden District, and it’s set become the defining landmark in the neighbourhood. Social Condos will be located on the bustling corner of Dundas and Church, and it’s sure to become one of the most sought after developments in the GTA for years to come. This pre-construction development is planned to stand tall at 52 storeys, where the residential tower will rise out of a five storey podium whose ground level will feature ample retail space.

The Garden District is one of the most vibrant and exhilarating urban environments in the entire GTA. It is home to many Toronto institutions including Massey Hall, St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica, and Maple Leaf Gardens, which is now a premium grocery store and LCBO. The area is also steps away from the world class Ryerson University, which could make this a great option for students or university faculty. The famous Eaton Centre is also only a few blocks away, so residents will never be out of reach of anything they need or want. The central location and striking design make this project a true stand out.

The ground level of this project’s podium will feature 4,940 square feet of retail floor space. The 2nd-4th floors will be for residential use, while the 5th floor will be solely allocated for amenity use, which includes an outdoor amenity area. 5th Floor Health + Wellness Facilities which will include the following: Wraparound landscaped terrace with ourdoor lounge; large well-equipped Fitness Centre with cardio equipment, strength machines and free weights; Men's and Women's change rooms with showers, a steam room, sauna and locker room; yoga/Pilates studio. 52nd Floor The Social Club: Which will include outdoor lounge with dining and barbeques; expansive party room with private dining, bar and catering kitchen; amenity lounge with a TV and reading area with cozy seating; billiards/pinh pong room with TV and bar; two Wi-Fi study rooms each with seating, desks and docking stations; Multimedia room with widescreen TV; men's , women's and universal washrooms. Together with the podium, the 52 storey high-rise tower will house a total of 602 condominium units. This will be divided into 351 one bedroom units, 196 two bedroom units, and 46 three bedroom units. The top floor of Social Tower will also feature an amenity lounge and outdoor terrace. Just imagine standing on the 52nd floor at the corner of Church and Dundas as you gaze across the breathtaking views of downtown Toronto.

There’s so much to love about this location. In addition to the local institutions mentioned above, there’s also the prospect of being in the centre of Toronto’s thriving food scene. Classic Toronto eateries like Barberian's Steakhouse and Fran’s are only a few steps away, while trendy modern restaurants like Richmond Station and The Senator aren’t too far either. At a location like this, all you need to do is step outside to embark on your urban adventure.

If you are looking to venture a little further from your home, this area is heavily serviced by the TTC. Dundas Street has a dedicated streetcar/bus route, as does Queen Street, which is only two blocks south. Social Condos also is also only a few blocks away from the Dundas Subway Station, which connects this neighbourhood to the entire GTA. Got a car? No problem! This project will have a 6 level parking garage with 381 parking spots available for residents. The Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway are both only a few minutes drive away. Whether you’re travelling to Mississauga, Montreal, or even Vancouver you’ll be able to drive through Toronto’s downtown core in only a few minutes.

The Garden District’s bordering neighbourhoods have plenty to offer to your urban adventure. To the south, you can visit the St. Lawrence Market. This market, which was established in 1803, is Toronto’s go-to venue for fresh food. Fresh produce from local farmers, artisanal cheeses, and expertly cured meats are all available here - not to mention Toronto’s famous bacon sandwich. If you’re interested in catching a Jays or Raptors game, the Entertainment District is only a 30 minute walk away (or your could always take the subway!). Toronto’s refurbished Distillery District is also a 30 minute walk away. There’s no excuse to be bored when you live at Social Residences.

The Garden District is a densely populated area, but it hasn’t had much height compared to the neighbouring Financial District. That’s about to change with the introduction of Social Condos. This 52-storey luxury high-rise tower will rise out of the Garden District, solidifying it as one of Toronto’s enduring neighbourhoods. The area is richly saturated in culture and heritage, and as the city continues to expand, here you’ll always feel like you’re living and breathing Toronto. This is an opportunity you can’t pass up.
